India’s campaign at the Asian Games 2026 gathered further momentum on Day 7, with a double podium finish in shooting. As per reports, the latest victories have propelled India's overall medal count to 19. The country's impressive performance on the sixth and seventh days highlights its continuing strength in shooting events on the continental stage, while also setting up promising prospects in squash and table tennis.

Gold and Silver Shine in Shooting Events

The highlight of the day came from the shooting range, where the duo of Suruchi and Kamaljeet secured a gold medal. According to reports, Suruchi and Kamaljeet triumphed in the 10m air-pistol mixed team event.

Adding to the nation's success, the men's team also delivered a stellar performance. The trio of Aishwary, Rudrankksh, and Niraj claimed a silver medal in the men's 50m rifle 3-position team event. This combined gold and silver haul elevated India’s standing, bringing its running tally to 2 gold, 8 silver, and 9 bronze medals.
